United Mission Hospital Tansen (UMHT) is an acute care hospital with 200 beds which functions at the level of a referral hospital, serving patients from a catchment area of almost one million people.
Services include emergency, ICU, HDU, general surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology, internal medicine, urology, burns, dermatology, psychiatry, dental, TB/ Leprosy / HIV clinics and rehabilitation. Also many diagnostic services. In the community, there is a mental health programme, satellite maternal and child health clinics, a child nutrition rehab centre and a maternal waiting home.
